The Second Attention, what is it?
On the way to work, one slightly tired morning, you hear a gentle song that instantly imprints itself on the second attention. All day long, whatever you experience or do, this gentle song will still be there, on the tip of your tongue, ready to be hummed or whistled.
Remember a day when this happened, and above all, remember the feeling of lightness and joy that was present.
The second attention is usually filled with fears, doubts and stories we go over and over and which end up taking a large part of a day's energy.
Knowing how to perceive it, understand it and fill it with positive elements is fundamental to moving forward in our existence. This management will ultimately bring us mastery of fervour.
How will we work?
We will use postures, pranayama, concentration and meditation techniques, as well as mantras, to experience the second attention. We will draw on extracts from texts by Carlos Castaneda, the Upanishads, Nisargadatta Maharaj and others to support our path during this weekend of work on ourselves.
Level required
This retreat is open to everyone, beginners and experienced practitioners alike. All techniques will be explained and every level respected.
Start and end of the retreat
The retreat begins on Friday 20 March with a meal we will share at around 8pm. You can arrive between 4pm and 8pm.
It will end on Sunday 22 March at around 6pm.
Teaching
Taught by Yogi Denis (Denis Billo). Yoga came into my life more than 40 years ago. It is this path of work, study, initiations and mystical experiences that I wish to share with you.
Accommodation at Haimavati
The retreat will take place at Haimavati, Sadhana Peeth in the Hérault at Mons 34390. Rooms for 2 or 3 people and luxury tents, deep in the forest, surrounded by cedars and chestnut trees.
Retreat fee: €280
All-inclusive fee: accommodation, meals, teaching.
Reduced fee for students and the unemployed: €230.
