Me!
The me is an illusion resulting from the cluster of our body, our consciousness and our energies. It shows itself through the mind, which holds feelings, memory, the 3 states of consciousness, the notions of time and space, of necessity and continuity, and all this creates a character who thinks about their life and sets up their own concept, with very little chance of escaping it.
The me is built from everything: suffering as well as hatred, rejection, or love and fervour.
The brain that governs all this does not like change, and above all does not like being overtaken. It wants to remain master on board this cluster; it takes everything back for itself, and so managing to go beyond it requires very hard work on ourselves, work that inevitably goes through the self-denial of the me in the moment...
So our "spiritual path" cannot be placed in time and space. There is no evolution, except evolving so as to enter and settle in the present moment for longer and longer, there where memory, time and space cease and where the brain and the mind can be illuminated by the light of the spirit.
Yes, but how can we be present in the present moment?
It requires us to manage our energies differently.
We should not try to replace something bad with something good: that will again take its place in time and space and so inevitably become ego-driven, even if it must be done in the case of something criminal or excessive.
Suppose I am someone prone to anger or obsessed with things: it is not by trying to hold myself back that things will necessarily get better. At worst I will build a dam, and it will inevitably give way, or the water will find a way round it and I will become addicted to alcohol or something else…
So at the root there is indeed an energy (the water behind the dam) that is present and that I must understand and redirect.
So the best thing is to start from what I am, accepting it, trying to perceive what is at work there in the present moment, and letting these explosive sensations that appear with anger or obsession come up, looking at them from within and living them fully, consciously. The aim is that the mind quickly becomes an observer of these surges of energy in the body, rather than getting carried away with them into behaviour driven by the energy, which quickly makes me lose awareness of the moment and of my actions.
Little by little the energy present will no longer be burnt up in behaviour linked to the qualities of that energy (fire for rage, air for love, water for desires), but consciousness will take it back.
So what used to bind me becomes what frees me, and this happens without ethics, without morals, without frustration; it happens in the depth of what we are…

6. Devouring Consciousness by which Death is swallowed up, boundless pride arising from the happy excitement that spreads to all the activities of the me when it says “this is mine!”, destroying energy of (this) Death that springs up timeless: it is she whom I salute!
