Nath Sampradaya: Yogi Matsyendranath Maharaj

Yogi Matsyendra Nath is an authentic master in the Nath Sampradâya, initiated in Gorakhpur, India, by his Guru Mithleshnath Maharaj, who belongs to the Dharmanath pantha.
He is also initiated in various paths, such as the Shrî vidyâ, in which he received the "full consecration" (pûrnâbhisheka) from Guru Rameshchandra; he also received the transmission of practices and teachings from Shri Avanish Pandey in the Kaula tradition and from Shri Shanti Prakash in the Shrî vidyâ samaya tradition,

Meeting a Yogi...

It was thanks to Tara Michaël that I had the chance to meet Yogi Matsyendranath, and I am deeply grateful to her.

A few years ago, Tara Michaël came to one of my workshops on Kundalini, and we became friends in the union of Yoga, promising to try to organise things together.

The first meeting with Yogi Matsyendranath took place at her home. It was an unforgettable moment, sitting on a chair for hours and hours talking with Yogi. I was able to see his finesse and his knowledge.

In July 2015 I organised a first retreat, which was a beautiful encounter for many people. Three long standing friends and I received two mantra initiations on the path of the Nath Sampradâya and the Shrî vidyâ.

These two initiations allowed me to live unforgettable, deep mystical experiences.

In March 2015 I went to visit Yogi Matsyendranath at his home in Australia for 10 days for Shivarâtri, where I attended a 10 hour puja that transformed many things in me...

The last retreat, in July 2016, was sublime: we were lucky enough to experience 2 fantastic pujas, and the last one left an indelible mark on many participants.

Intuitively, since childhood, I have followed the path of the Shri Vidya tradition connected with Tripura Sundari, and in Yogi Matsyendranath Maharaj's explanations I found all my teaching and my approach to Hatha Yoga from the very beginning.

Between 2016 and 2019 there were some very beautiful meetings between us, then the madness of Covid arrived...
Yogi Matsyendranath then made remarks that hurt many of my companions on the path and myself, and so I decided to step away.

The vision of the Sri Vidya is still within me; it teaches me every day and, in silence, whispers in my ears.

It will never leave me.

Shajesh, an Indian Master from Kerala in the Āṇanda Natha, has given me what the years on the path had made necessary: rigorous and deep teaching in the Āṇanda Natha lineage, a transmission of the Shri Vidyā carried by four rare qualities: humility, simplicity, honesty and joy.
