Haimavati, Daughter of the Himalaya
Yoga Sadhana Peeth

Haimavati is a place for the practice of Hatha Yoga and spirituality.

A house deep in the forest, self-sufficient in water and electricity, where everything is in place to settle, take time and perceive the surrounding nature, rich in paths, waterfalls, cedars, chestnut trees, oaks...

A place where Danielle and Denis practise every day: Yoga practices, night meditations, vibrational drawing, training courses, discussions, exchanges, sharing...

Home to Denis and Danielle, Haimavati is also a guesthouse welcoming hikers, mountain bikers, nature lovers, practitioners and enthusiasts of all kinds...

A unique, powerful, vibrant place, surrounded by incredible mountains and paths beautifully paved by the people of old who grew chestnuts, cherries and plenty of other things.

A sheepfold built in 1660 and restored by the last owners, an English couple, with great taste and simplicity.

You will find stone, wood, terraces, 4 bedrooms, dry toilets, a pool...

More than 3 hectares of land deep in the forest, with no boundaries.

A spring that gives us our water...

2 cats...

And Georgette...

Traditional Hatha Yoga:

A traditional Yoga based on a complete practice that seeks Moksha, spiritual realisation!

Practices take place every day. You can come and join them whenever you like.
Throughout the year there are workshops, training courses, meditations, Satsangs, gatherings, sharing...

Haimavati is simply where Danielle and I live and practise, so it is our practice that we wish to share with you, in a truly powerful place...

Spiritual drawing:

Danielle offers days centred on "vibrant painting", a simple yet powerful tool for relaxing and finding grace within us again.
No need to know how to paint or draw: this technique frees us from the constraints of drawing and lets us enter the vibrant space of colour and of the heart.

Healing and relaxation:

I am an IGA practitioner, a geobiologist and a healer.
I can work on your homes to make them more harmonious and deal with pathogenic features such as underground water veins, dry faults, the Hartmann and Curry grids, memories, entities, etc.
I can also work on you to bring more well-being through relaxation, breathing, energy or practices around information, because we are above all a source of information with a spirit at the centre.

Uma Haimavati

Uma Haimavati

Pārvatī, the consort of Lord Śiva, is known by several names. One of them is Haimavati, since she was born the daughter of Himavān, king of the Himalaya. The Kenopanishad declares that Umā Haimavati appeared before Indra and taught him brahmavidyā, the knowledge of Brahman.

The story of the goddess Uma Haimavati in the Kena Upanishad
By Abhilash Rajendran

The most important story of the goddess Uma Haimavati is found in the Kena Upanishad. She is an independent goddess, superior to Agni, Vayu and Indra. In the Taittiriya Aranyaka she is mentioned as the consort of Rudra.

Legend has it that the Devas once defeated the Asuras in war and became puffed up with pride. They forgot that the source of their power was Brahman, and that by themselves they were nothing. Forgetting the truth, they began to boast of their own power and of how they had overcome the demons with their strength.

To bring the gods back to their senses, Brahman appeared to them in the form of a yaksha. The Devas sent Agni, the god of fire, to find out who he was.

Agni approached him and began boasting of his immense power. Brahman placed a blade of dry grass before him and asked him to burn it. Agni used all his fiery might but could not burn that single blade of grass. Accepting defeat, he returned to the other Devas.
Vayu, the god of wind, came to find out who the Yaksha was. He too boasted of his power, but could not move the blade of dry grass before him.

Indra, king of the Devas, then decided to uncover the mystery of the Yaksha. But the Yaksha was no longer in sight. In his place stood Uma Haimavati.

She told Indra that the Yaksha was none other than Rudra Shiva, and that he had appeared before the Devas to shatter their false sense of pride.

Uma Haimavati then gave Indra Brahma Jnana and explained to him the true nature of Brahman. She told him categorically that nothing happens without its will.
